Baby Godzilla

Dear Baby Godzilla,
Although I already love you more than life itself, if you don't come out hairy as a gorilla I am going to be thoroughly disappointed due to all the heartburn you have caused.
Love, Mommy

To my knowledge I have never been a big sufferer of heartburn. Often times when Hubbs had a case I would ask him to describe it. Now, no explanation is needed. Earlier on in the creation of Tuck I finally had the opportunity to feel this miserableness first hand.  Which, at first, I thought to myself, “Ok, now I know what heartburn feels like… this isn’t so bad”. Uncomfortable, but doable. Boy was I wrong.  Heartburn = Hell.  Literally. Some days I feel like my esophagus is melting away, or that if I open my mouth to talk fire WILL barrel out.  I will be so happy when it finally goes away.  And if the wives tale is true, Tuck had better come out with hair like Dr. McDreamy, Patrick Dempsey with the amount of pain he is putting me through. Please pass the Zantac. Thanks.

BumPdate: 20 Weeks, Ooooooohhhhhhhhhhh We're Halfway There.......

Pregnancy HighlightsHeartbeats, Ultrasounds and feeling Tuck move. And I mean MOVE!
How Far Along: 20 weeks on the nose, we are HALFWAY there folks !!
Size of baby: Cantaloupe, 6.5 inches long, 10.6 oz.
What is baby up to: Baby's digestive system is busy creating meconium (a tarry black substance made of swallowed amniotic fluid, digestive secretion and dead cells), which will fill the first diaper after birth. Gross right ??
Gained/Lost: I've hit the double digit weight gain, the big 10 lbs
Maternity Clothes: I'm rocking the belly band(s) these days and lots of pre-baby dresses
Gender: BOY!! Tucker Andrew Edgington
Movement: Hubbs and I both are able to feel Tuck move these days. My favorite is first thing in the morning or super late at night when he's all balled up and my stomach is hard as a rock in one little spot.
Sleep: Sucks. When it's good it's REAL GOOD but when it's bad, it SUCKS.
What I miss: Using multiple Diet Cokes as the solution to ANY problem
Cravings: Granny smith apples, cheese and pizza (from time to time) I still want sushi on a regular basis, don't worry it's cooked. Goat Cheese Pesto Dip from Crawdaddy's.. soooo delicious. (Yes, it's also safe.) Queso and salsa, Ice cold milk, Chocolate anything, and daily Egg and Cheese Biscuits
Aversions: Smells still get me, Pickles are worse than ever and turtle necks or tight crew necks (I feel like I'm smothering). Sometimes the morning milk backfires on me. All these things bring sweat to my brow and toilets in my eye line.
Symptoms: Still have constant sinus congestion, headaches are still frequent and the lower back pain is getting a little more serious at night. HORMONES, HORMONES, HORMONES. I'm an emotionally basket case sporadically throughout the day. HEARTBURN.
Best Moment this week: Getting the tiniest pair of swimtrunks from Zulily for Tuck to sport at the lake!

Take Me to the Cinema...

Made it to the cinema twice this month thus far. Once with the girls, once with the Hubbs. These are my opinions, not to influence anyone..however if they do, my plan of world domination is right on track.....

More like The Flop in my book. Don't get me wrong, this movie was good. And true. But I had high expectations for Rachel McAdams and the Tates. I was thinking "man, better take my tissues and get ready for The Notebook Part Deux." {Cue annoying buzzer sound.} eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehhhhhhhhhhhhhhkkkkkkkkkkkkkk WRONG. I did not cry. Not once. Except for when I almost died laughing at the Little Sister. SPOILER ALERT******** I was so angry by the end, which I didn't expect to happen to abruptly, that I couldn't see straight. I wanted her to remember her dang husband, and all the sweet flippin stuff he'd ever done. Ugggghhhhh... whatever. I'm over it now..kinda...not really.

Hubbs and I caught this fun flick last night:

If you are pregnant or have self-image issues I warn you now.. don't watch this movie. Reese brought out her big guns and she will make you never want to touch a bad food again. Seriously.
Hubbs and I gave this movie 2 thumbs up. Just enough violence (and scantily clad Reese) for him, and a feel good story for me. Also, one of the main character's name is Tuck... BAZINGAAA! Enjoy and You're Welcome!! :)

It's a baby.............

BOY !!!!!!!!

It's official folks.. I'm outnumbered.
Hubbs and I had our BIG ultrasound today and Baby E was extra cooperative downstairs, but very shy upstairs. His heart rate was 164 today so we are preparing for one high strung boy. He's absolutely perfect. Doctor G says he looks great, and measuring just as he should. She estimated he weighed in at 1/2 a pound today. It's my pleasure to introduce you to:
Tucker Andrew Edgington
Isn't he a little stud muffin?? I think he is anyway! We are so excited to prepare our world for him! I'm very eager to get started on a nursery and Hubbs has already purchased his first Patriots apparel. We love you Tuck, and we can't wait for you to get here !!

BUMPdate: 18 Weeks, the Guessing Game

We are rolling right along through PreggoVille! Monday will be the BIG GENDER REVEAL!!
Here's a BUMPdate pic for inquiring minds! (Dear Brother, I know I promised no bathroom mirror pics, but this is one exception)
photo (5) photo (4)
Pregnancy Highlights: Nothing compares to heartbeats and ultrasounds, except feeling flutters. I'm pretty sure I have this week but I'm still waiting for the karate chop of confirmation.
How Far Along: 18 weeks on the nose
Size of baby: Sweet Potato, 5.6 in, 6.7 oz
What is baby up to: Squirt is becoming AMAZINGLY MOBILE. I don't feel it all the time, ??or maybe at all?? but he/she is passing the hours yawning, hiccuping, rolling, twisting, kicking, punching, sucking and swallowing.
Total Weight Gained/Lost: According to the at-home scale, first thing in the morning, 7lbs gained
Maternity Clothes: I'm rocking the belly band(s) these days!
Gender: February 13th, EVERYONE is convinced we are having a girl. (with the exception of me and 2 others) I have a Vegas-bet definite BOY feeling.
Movement: Pretty sure this week I have felt some flutters. It never happens enough in one time span to be certain though.
Sleep: Week 17 has been miserable in the sleep department. I'm up about 4 hours after I've fallen asleep, and each hour after until the alarm sounds.
(Yes, it's also safe.) Queso and salsa, Ice cold milk
Aversions: Smells still get me, Pickles are worse than ever and turtle necks or tight crew necks (I feel like I'm smothering). Sometimes the morning milk backfires on me. All these things bring sweat to my brow and toilets in my eye line.
Symptoms: Still have constant sinus congestion, headaches are still frequent and the lower back pain comes and goes. (I know, this is a joke now. Don't be a smarty pants) HORMONES, HORMONES, HORMONES. I'm an emotionally basket case sporadically throughout the day. Also, the eternal Eskimo I once was now has minor hot flashes.
Best Moment this week: Counting down the days until the BIG ULTRASOUND!!!!!!!

Sneak Peak at the Gender Reveal...only 7 days !!!!!!

Can I just say that I have THE WORLD'S GREATEST sister-in-laws !!!!
A few weekends ago the Big Sister and fam came for a visit. While we out perusing the racks one day, I mentioned that I was on the hunt for a red and white polka dot hairbow for "certain project". We couldn't find a suitable one ANYWHERE!! That's when Big Sis suggested she could make one. I was like, WHOOP WHOOP, let's do this.. off to the Hobby Lobby we headed. Ribbon purchased, supplies gathered, ipad researching and we were good to go.. Big Sis found a tute on Pinterest and followed it step by step to make the perfect little bow for a possible perfect little girl.. however, I stand strong by my boy prediction..
(We find out the gender of Le Babe on February 13th so I'm going for a Valentine's theme..)
