Nursery Progress Preview...

It's slowly coming together... We're all painted up!! This was a labor of love my Tuck's dad and Big Pa. I. DO. NOT. PAINT. (rooms that is) It's one of the few crafty things I will not lend my hand to. Thank goodness the boys took on the responsibility. It's amazing what paint on a wall can do for a room. Now I want to paint the WHOLE house. Hubbs says NO WAY!!

Tuck's Little Nook

The main colors for the nursery are Navy and Green. I get excited every time someone sends me a picture with a nursery find:
Aunt Nessa's Home Good's find, ottoman for the glider
Fabrics for full bed pillows:
I picked up this bookcase for Tuck's nook at The Painted House, after further review it needs more TLC than I thought.. I'm currently on a mission to paint it navy and leave the inside bright white.. stay tuned for that...
Hubbs (next to a freshly painted wall) with some super cute striped fabric for the curtains:

I have jokingly said that this nursery will be the best looking room in the house, I am no longer joking, as I am convinced. It's sad, but motivating..
Loving the fun greens!!

Always, Always, be a Gentleman.

More to come !!

BUMPdate: 24 Weeks, I am Oprah

True story... Last night.. I was Oprah. Not only was I Oprah but I was filming a segment in a Paranormal Activity infested house. {Yes, I'm crazy} I had to do my own hair and own makeup. I slicked my hair back and had a choice of 2 wigs that I pulled from my backpack. Not a fancy backpack, just a run of the mill backpack. I put on layers (and layers and layers) of makeup. It was so funny. It was clay mud consistency and about as hard to maneuver. I survived the house but barely, and had to jump a barbed wire fence at the end to escape. I then road off into the sunset in my Mystery Machine look-a-like van. Thank you pregnancy hormones for this enlightening experience in dreamland.

24 weeks !!! I knew my mother would appreciate me making this funny face picture public. HI MOM !!!

Pregnancy Highlights: I LOVE being pregnant! Seriously! Besides the occasional hormonal wave of emotion, it's the best I've ever felt!
How Far Along: 24 weeks on the nose
Size of baby: Grapefruit, 10.5-11.8 inches long, 12.7-20.8 oz.
What is baby up to: Tuck is developing pinker, more opaque skin. His eyes are completely formed, the air sacs in his lungs are beginning to form, and he has developed his own unique footprints and fingerprints!!
Gained/Lost: The at home scale, first of the morning weigh-in is 16(ish) lbs gained
Maternity Clothes: It's HOT in Cville!! I've been in (pre-pegnancy)dresses and jersey knits all week!
Gender: BOY!! Tucker Andrew Edgington
Movement: Mostly first thing in the morning, just after lunch, and at bed time.
Sleep: Hit and miss these days. Mostly good sleeps thought. (With super crazy dreams, ie. Oprah)
What I miss: Pencil skirts, sugar overdoses, non-sore feet after a day of heels, uninterrupted 8 hours of sleep
Cravings: All the usual suspects, new to the list: Cookies. Chocolate chip or Oreos. Must have milk available, and plenty of it !!! Hubbs mentioned Crab Legs yesterday and it was all I could think about until I had them in my possession. I managed to pack away 1 and 1/2 lbs. I couldn't tell if the waitress was amazed or disgusted. Whatevs.
Aversions: Smells and slimy pickles.
Symptoms:  Lower back pain sucks, HORMONES, HORMONES, HORMONES. I'm an emotionally basket case sporadically throughout the day. HEARTBURN, Occasional leg cramps, a little growth in the upstairs department. (could also be the fact that I'm packing on lbs.,  HA)
Best Moment this week: Feeling what I believe to be was a foot pushing out. Sweetest thing ever. Also, laying in bed last night my stomach looked like a waterbed from all the movement. Hubbs and I were cracking up. Tuck was rehearsing his "Thriller" number for his debut into the world.

BUMPdate: 22 Weeks, the Blow Out

Today was our 22 week appointment. Hubbs and I got a great report, results from the BIG ultrasound were good, bump is measuring just as it should and Tuck's HR was a strong 150. (Much slower than it has been, maybe he won't be as high strung as I thought.) After the appointment Hubbs and I headed to lunch at Spankies. As we were walking to our respective vehicles Hubbs said, "I think it's about time for new pants, you're blowing out of those!." I immediately replied, "that's not very nice to say to your pregnant and expanding wife." Hubbs laughed and said, "No really, your pants are ripped!!" I FREAKED OUT!! Sure enough, the pocket seam on my left cheek was BLOWN OUT!!! Hahahaha There's absolutely no telling how long it's been like this. That's the best part. Thanks Hubbs for still checking out my bootay and keeping me in check!!! :)

Pregnancy HighlightsItty Bitty Baby clothes and working on the nursery for now
How Far Along: 22 weeks and 3 days
Size of baby: Papaya, 10.5-11.8 inches long, 12.7 oz.

Gained/Lost: The at home scale, first of the morning weigh-in is 14 lbs gained
Maternity Clothes: Belly bands, after the blowout today I will be switching to maternity pants soon!!
Gender: BOY!! Tucker Andrew Edgington
Movement: Half ninja, Half Break Dancer.. this boy can MOVE
Sleep: Things are MUCH better in the sleep department! I'm back to one pee-break a night, sometimes 2:30 sometimes 4:30
What I miss: Pencil skirts, sugar overdoses, non-sore feet after a day of heels
Cravings: All the usual suspects, new to the list: fish sticks (i know, right??) and chocolate ice cream, not together
Aversions: Pickles, pickles, pickles
Symptoms:  Lower back pain sucks, HORMONES, HORMONES, HORMONES. I'm an emotionally basket case sporadically throughout the day. HEARTBURN.
Best Moment this week: Smelling fresh paint from the nursery!! (Pics to come)
I can't believe that I am already 22 weeks, it blows my mind that we are already over halfway til the BIG day when Tuck changes our lives even more than he already has !!!

Tape, Paint, Nest, Nest, Nest…

It has begun!! The prep for the big nursery painting!
We've decided on Clark and Kensington's medium slate grey called "High Society", so fitting for my little Prince right? HA!
Everything has been moved out, piled up, repiled up and taped.... Stay tuned...

Everything besides the bed and changing table/dresser have been moved into the guest room for the time being... It's quite the sight! Clothes, diaper bags, toys, beds.. It's all there..

I'm slowing making progress with the nursery decor. I pulled the trigger on Pottery Barn's "Harper" Bedding in Navy. I have the crib skirt and bumper on (back)order:

I have decided to do funky green printed crib sheets to jazz up the room. If you someone that sews crib sheets, holla at this Momma Bear.. I have a super tutorial and could probably pre-cute everything for them, I'm just too scared to sew them myself!!! So far I found these two fabrics:

I know they aren't the same shade, but they also aren't going to be out at the same time. Duuuuuh
I am IN LOVE with this lamp, but can't pull the trigger because I haven't found a night stand/side table yet. The bookcase was a good find from The Painted House here in town. (Dear Girls from the Painted House, I promise I am coming to get my bookcase!!!) It's going to need a little fresh white paint to bring it more into the room..

More pics to come after the painting, and projects start !!
